026 Sunflowers / Pencil on Paper / 2007
Creative narrative
One can rarely draw sunflowers without thinking of Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh wanted to be known as the painter of sunflowers, for him they communicated gratitude. Other artists thought they were course and unrefined but this was exactly why Vincent liked them. And precisely why I too find them fascinating.
